Combination of ceramic/carbon-graphite seal faces are ideal choice for leak proof, maintenance free applications.

They provide longer life and greater operating safety.

At M.K. Ceramics we manufacture mechanical seal faces in various sizes and compositions like Ravituff 99, Ravituff 95, Eco Alumina, Steatite and SAZ.

Hi Alumina Ceramic Seal Faces (Ravituff 99 / Ravituff 95) : Alumina is commonly used as a mating ring together with carbon-graphite opposing seal face. Alumina exhibits high hardness, good abrasion resistance, high strength and stability.

This makes them suitable for high load, varying shaft speed and high temperature applications. Also provides longer service life and operating safety.

They are lapped within 20 micron and polished within 2 light bands and diameter is ground +/- 0.05 mm, for precise fitting in mechanical seal kits.
The uniform micro structure also helps the retention of a fluid film at the interface of sliding components.

Eco Alumina : With a very innovative idea, we have introduced High-Alumna seal faces with slightly low Alumina content for cost effective mechanical seal faces.

Steatite / SAZ Ceramics : Have comparatively less hardness than Alumina. They are suitable for low load and low speed applications.
