The manual handling of Oil Seeds and cakes is gradually and more frequently being replaced by mechanical handling with bucket Elevators and screw conveyors. The Elevators & Conveyors can feed the Oil Mill continuously from the godown to the Oil Mills. The chain bucket elevators and screw conveyors are commonly used in oil mills and we can supply the complete scheme of Elevators and Conveyors for mechanical handling throughout the oil mill. Screw Conveyor is used for moving material like oilseed, pulverized meal, and oil in the horizontal direction or through a slightly inclined plane. The screw conveyor consists of the trough of a Mild steel plate with an angle welded along the edges and is fitted with the spiral mounted shaft. The feed is from the top at one end and discharge generally, from an opening at the bottom on the other end of the trough. The shaft is supported at both ends by bearings and also an intermediate position in long conveyors. The shaft is extended from one end for drive purposes.
