KRS metal roof is simulated modular low metal tile panel with a unique 3-dimensional granular surface. The panel is installed ridge to eave and is easily stocked and handled. The metal panel is coated with crushed stone chips with an acrylic over-glaze. Metal tile can be used for reroofing or for new construction over a batten system. It is lightweight, allowing installation over an existing roof without the need of tear-off and disposal. The airspace between the roof deck and panel increases the insulation value, consequently lowering utility bills. Typical applications for metal tile are commercial and residential roofing with a recommended minimum slope of 3:12. The metal panel also is suitable for mansards.
