This gastrointestinal (GI) support bolus is formulated with three active agents that target infectious diarrhea, protozoal infections, and motility imbalance in animals. Each bolus delivers: Metronidazole (1000 mg) – An antiprotozoal and antimicrobial compound effective against Giardia, Entamoeba, and anaerobic bacteria commonly implicated in enteric infections. Furazolidone (200/500 mg) – A broad-spectrum nitrofuran derivative that disrupts gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria, especially those found in unhygienic water or contaminated feed. Loperamide (4/7.5 mg) – A peripherally acting μ-opioid receptor agonist that slows intestinal motility, allowing more time for fluid and electrolyte absorption in the gut.
