Military UHF SATCOM Antenna

This antenna was designed for shipboard and fixed site use, where direct, simultaneous communications with satellite, ground, shipborne and airborne platforms are to be maintained. To fulfill this mission, UC-300-B1 antennas were designed to radiate a small portion of the supplied RF power with Vertical Polarization. At low elevation angles, where ground, sea and air platforms are typically located, both horizontally and vertically polarized waves are radiated to match any type of antenna. When the -B1 antenna is installed low, close to the ground or a large metal structure, the vertically polarized waves better survive earth multipath, maintaining communications at low elevation angles where other SATCOM antennas would fail.
