MODEL AIRPLANE IGNITION COILS

Many model airplane enthusiasts have watched in vain as the time and effort they put into their plane was ruined as their plane crashed to the ground due to an ignition coil failure. As an airplane enthusiast, our designer felt that he could design and produce a better coil. For years now, the Gettig ignition coil, now exclusively produced by Spring Mills Manufacturing, has been trusted to provide the needed power and reliability to model planes.
The Gettig ignition coil is 1.25" long and has a diameter of 0.75" with a total weight of 1.16 ounces. It is designed for a nominal operating voltage of 2.4 V to 3.0 V, has a primary winding resistance of 0.6 Ω, and a secondary winding resistance of 1,200 Ω. The size of our coil is more compact than most, allowing it to fit into most all ignition systems.
