What Are Wet Scrubbers and How Do They Work?A wet scrubber, also known as a wet scrubber device, is a form of scrubber used to extract toxic materials from industrial flue gas known as exhaust gases before they are discharged into the atmosphere. Water is the most often used solvent for removing inorganic contaminants. Water is encapsulated in a metal or concrete jar in the most basic type of wet scrubbers, dirty gas is passed into the water, the water collects the pollutants, and clean gas escapes the scrubber. We are providing a Pollution Control Scrubbers.
Scrubbing of Particulate Matter with WaterParticulate matter can be removed by wet scrubbers by collecting it in liquid droplets. The clumps are then collected, and the solvent either dissolves or absorbs the pollutant gases. A mist eliminator must be used to remove any droplets in the scrubber air intake gas from the outlet gas source. Additionally, the resulting scrubbing solvent must be stored before being discharged or reused in the factory. The ability of a wet scrubber to collect particulate matter is often directly proportional to the power input into the scrubber. In order to achieve high removal efficiencies, a mist eliminator must be correctly engineered and worked. Wet scrubbers are commonly the only single air emission control system that can eliminate all particulate matter and gases if the flue gas comprises both.

are the primary indicators of wet scrubber efficiency.Material of ConstructionCorrosion is a significant issue for chemical industry scrubbing devices. Fibre-reinforced plastic and dual keys are often used as building materials.Design of Wet ScrubberThe configuration of wet scrubbers or some other air pollution control system is determined by the manufacturing process conditions and the type of air pollutants involved. The properties of the inlet gas and dust are of the utmost importance. Scrubbers may be engineered to collect particulate matter as well as gaseous emissions. Wet scrubbers' flexibility allows them to be installed in a variety of configurations, all of which are engineered to have good contact between the liquid and dirty gas stream.Applications of Wet Scrubber
Chemical
Glass
Cement
Oil Refinery
Food Processing
Petrochemical

Advantages of Wet Scrubber
Wet scrubbers can withstand high temperatures and moisture.
Flue gases are cooled in wet scrubbers, resulting in a reduced overall scale of machinery.
Both gases and particulate matter can be removed using wet scrubbers.
Corrosive gases can be neutralised using wet scrubbers.
Less Water Requirement
Simple to Upgrade to Meet Future Standards
Wide Range of Applications Available with Integrated Stack Design
Given the advantages, there are a few disadvantages. They require regular repairs and can be heavily corroded.
