Mycroblock - Fn Accelerating Admixture

Mycroblock FN is an accelerating admixture which is made without chloride and isbased on a blend of nitrite and format salts. It comes as a straw-coloured solution that dissolves in water right away. By quickening the early phases of cement hydration, Mycroblock FN causes a quicker stiffening and enables strength increase to start earlier. This impact is most prominent within the first 24 hours following mixing and is especially visible at low temperatures.

Mycroblock FN accelerators increase the solubility of calcium ions in the mix, promoting faster hydration of cement particles. FNs are made up of a polymer backbone with carboxylate groups that help reduce the viscosity of the concrete mix. FNs work by creating a steric effect. The long, flexible polymer chains attach to the surface of cement particles, preventing them from clumping together. This dispersion leads to improved workability and reduces water demand.
