Menthyl acetate is obtined form fractional distillation of Mentha Arvensis oil, it is a natural ester which contributes to the odor and flavour of Mint related products. It is also called acetate or ester of menthol. It is a clear colourless free flowing liquid and having Fruity, Herbaceous, cooling odour. Menthyl acetate is also found in Mentha Piperita oil between 2-3% which contributes to the flavour of Mentha Piperita.
