Neo-mercazole 5mg tablet is used in the treatment of hyperthyroidism.

COMPOSITION FOR NEO-MERCAZOLE 5MG TABLET : Carbimazole(5mg)

FOOD INTERACTION FOR NEO-MERCAZOLE TABLET : It can be taken with or without food, but it is better to take Neo-mercazole 5mg tablet at a fixed time.

How neo-mercazole tablet works :Neo-mercazole 5mg tablet lowers the amount of thyroid hormones produced by the thyroid gland.

Common side effects of neo-mercazole tablet :

• Skin rash,
• Headache,
• Skin pigmentation,
• Pain,
• Joint stiffness,
• Nausea,
• Paresthesia (tingling or pricking sensation),
• Hair loss

ALCOHOL INTERACTION FOR NEO-MERCAZOLE TABLET : Interaction with alcohol is unknown. Please consult your doctor.

PREGNANCY INTERACTION FOR NEO-MERCAZOLE TABLET : Neo-mercazole 5mg tablet is unsafe to use during pregnancy.
There is positive evidence of human fetal risk, but the benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk, for example in life-threatening situations. Please consult your doctor.

LACTATION INTERACTION FOR NEO-MERCAZOLE TABLET : Unknown. Human and animal studies are not available. Please consult your doctor.
