Non Benzidine Direct Dyes are one of the two types of dyes that get mixed in all-purpose dyes such as rit, tintex hot water dye and dylon multi-purpose dye. Non Benzidine Direct Dyes or substantive dyeing is normally prepared in a neutral or slightly alkaline dye bath, at or near boiling point, with the addition of either sodium chloride (NaCl) or sodium sulfate (Na₂ SO₄).
