Nylon

Extruded Nylon 66 has a unique combination of high strength, toughness, outstanding chemical resistance, and excellent wear and abrasion resistance. It has a heat resistance of up to 210°F. Nylon 66 has the broadest size range availability, good mechanical and electrical properties, and is easily machined and fabricated. It is commonly used in both structural and general purpose bearing and wear applications. Compared to Nylon 6 (Cast) it has better mechanical properties due to greater hardness and lower water absorption. It is available in natural (straw colored) and black. Unmodified Nylon 66 is FDA, USDA, NSF and 3-A Dairy compliant. There are other types of Nylon including oil filled, glass filled and blue cast. This information is available upon request.
