Rayon.Nylon.Cotton(Canvas)which is protected from mechanical damage arising from impact or the ingres of moisture by a rubber.
These belts are usually,manufactured by laminating a number of plies & conosolidating and vulcanizing them in special press
Rayon and ployester are both high modulus materials but has the great disadvantages of losing strength wthe wet.
Nylon is the most widely used synthetic fibre in belting today it has the highest tenacity or strength a comaratively low mudulus and high elongation at break compared with three fibres.
Nylon fabric is designed in three layer are combined together to produce a manploy construction by covering both side by rubber with sufficient thickness of layer.
