Why O-rings?
O-Rings come in many styles and shapes. Depending on temperature, pressure, chemical, and other environmental factors, O-rings can be crafted from a variety of materials. Materials such as EPDM, Nitrile, Buna-N, Silicone, Viton, and Fluoraz are just a few of the materials that we supply to meet the demands of the application. Additionally, O-rings can be supplied with an X cross section, better known as a quad ring.
Quad rings have twice the sealing surface as a standard O-ring, and also requires less compression to maintain an effective seal. This reduced compression results in longer seal life and lower risk of twisting. Quad rings also have an advantage over standard O-rings in the fact that the parting line is between the lobes of the quad ring and provides for a better, more uniform seal.
