Construction : These Rotary Cam Switches are modular in design with contact housing stacked with indexing mechanism. The operating knob is attached to steel shaft that rotates the cams which drive contacts to unlimited combinations of contact program. In this case the combination of cams is programmed to give one output from the selection of 3 phase input. The housing is made of engineering thermoplastic material which contains two sets of contacts with multi-cam provision in single housing. The contacts are mechanically opened and are closed using springs that provide force to achieve desirable contact pressure. Each operation has an inbuilt provision to wipe the butt contact for enhancement of contacting every time the switch is being operated thus augmenting endurance and reliability of switches.
