When temperature required for steam is 150° C, the corresponding pressure required for steam heating becomes too high for economical design of process equipment. For example, at 300° C temperature, pressure requirements would be approximately 90 kgs.cm2, i.e. 1280 PSI. Such pressure requires costly equipment, boilers and pipings and other safety provisions including qualified boiler attendants.
