Contact SupplierJojoba plants create jojoba oil within its seeds. The oil is also called by “jojoba wax” because of the wax-type appearance of the essential oil. Each jojoba plant seed contains approximately 50 percent of jojoba oil. It is composed of around 97 percent of long-chain fatty acids in the form and alcohol of mono-esters and a very less percent of triglyceride-esters. Because of such arrangement of esters, the oil has a very high shelf-life and great resistance to extreme temperatures.
Before refining, the oil gives a nutty odor and is golden in oil. The refining process makes the oil odorless, as well as colorless. The composition of fatty acids in the jojoba oil varies depending upon the soil, and climatic conditions in which the jojoba plant is grown, further, also on the harvesting and refining process. The highest portion of fatty acids in jojoba oil is the mono-unsaturated fatty acids. The oil is used for skin care purposes as it is a great moisturizer, and used as a makeup remover. Applying jojoba oil in razor cuts, and skin burns can help heal the wound faster
