The Lavandin oil is an essential oil extracted from the Lavandin plant, which is a hybrid plant, known by more than one scientific name, two of which are Lavandula Hybrida and Lavandula Hortensis. The therapeutic and aromatic properties of Lavandin oil are similar to the lavender oil, whereas, they are more effective than the lavender oil.
The oil acts as an antiseptic in case of cuts/wounds, antidepressant to reduce stress/anxiety levels, and further, the oil has cicatrisant, analgesic, nervine, expectorant properties. As per the composition of the oil, the main components present in it are Linalool, Lavandulol, Linalyl Acetate, Caryophyllene, Cineole, Camphor, Camphene, Limonene, Dipentene, Ocimene, and Terpinene.
