Sorghum is a genus of grasses with about 30 species, one of which is raised for grain and many of which are used as fodder plants, either cultivated or as part of pasture. The plants are cultivated in warm climates worldwide. It is useful to inhibit cancer tumor growth, protect against diabetes, insulin resistance, celiac disease, manage cholesterol, treat human melanoma, maintain the health of the heart, control diabetes, arthritis and weight of the body. It is also beneficial in constipation, anemia, cataract, headache, inflammation, lung cancer and pain.
