The distal end cutter is capable of cutting archwires up to 0.56 x 0.70 mm .022" x .028 " both intraoral and extraoral method. It is used exclusively for cutting the distal end of wire protruding out of the molar tubes. It had a‘safety’ mechanism to hold the cut archwire so it does not fall into the patients mouth.
