Munck standard single and double girder cranes are fabricated as a beam or fabricated box design engineered to meet the Crane Manufacturer's Association of America (CMAA), specifications. All crane components used are specially designed for crane duty. The demand in the market for compact technical solutions and high quality design has made the versatile Munck Standard Crane desirable for most applications. The hoisting and travel drive motors are specifically engineered for crane duty and special attention has been made to achieve very smooth starting and stopping characteristics.
This is contributing to the fact that Munck overhead cranes are nearly "maintenance free", requiring a minimum of service. Munck has carefully arranged the various crane components for easy access, thus facilitating for preventative maintenance or service when required.
