DESCRIPTION.Paintco Epoxy Floor Paint /2Pack is based on Epoxy Polyamide combination. This product is recommended for maintaining dust free atmosphere and preventing wear and tear of floor. It also resists the effect of splash of chemicals on floors.PHYSICAL DATA.Pigments:Rutile titanium dioxide and or/ color.Pigments and functional extenders.Appearance:Matt.Colours :White and colors.No. of components:Two.Mixing ratio by volume:Base:Hardener.4:1.Pot life after mixing at 30°C:Approx. 6 hours.Specific gravity:Approx. 1.53 (mixed).Solids by volume:Approx. 55% (mixed).Drying time at 30°C:1-Dust dry:approx. 2 hours.2-Next coat:over night but within 7 days.
Curing time before putting it to use :7 days minimum.Flash point:26°C.APPLICATION DATA.
Application method:Airless spray, brush & Roller.
Thinner:Thinner No. 477/1.Percentage of thinner:Airless spray :5% max. by volume.Brush & roller:10% max. by volume. Dry film thickness per coat:100 microns.Theor. coverage at 100 microns DFT:5.5m2/ltr.MIXING / THINNING.Epoxy base is packed in drum to which 1 US gallon hardener should be added and thoroughly mixed. The mixed paint should be allowed to mature for 30 minutes.REMARKS.We recommended that new concrete floors must be aged and weathered three months before painting , otherwise paint coating may fail. However, for quick painting of concrete floor, acid etching (10% of HCL) followed by washing with copious amount of water is recommended. Acid etching greatly improves the adhesion of paint and also neutralizes any alkali which has a destructive action of paint film. To obtain satisfactory durability, we recommended that 2-3 coats of Paintco Epoxy Floor Paint / 2 Pack should be applied.Paintco Epoxy Sealer /2Pack 3993 should be used as first coat for sealing purpose, followed by 2-3 coats of Paintco Epoxy Floor Paint /2 Pack 6430.
