Paperboard

Solid Bleached Sulfate is a premium coated grade, made from at least 80 percent virgin bleached wood pulp, used in medical packaging, milk cartons, aseptic drink boxes, cosmetic packaging, frozen food packaging and candy boxes. It is usually coated with kaolin clay to improve its printing surface and may also be coated with polyethylene resin for wet strength.
Coated Unbleached Kraft Paperboard possesses superior strength. It is usually coated with kaolin clay to improve its printing surface and may also be coated with polyethylene resin for wet strength in frozen goods packaging, beverage cartons and carriers and pharmaceutical packaging.
Uncoated Recycled Paperboard is produced from 100 percent recovered paper collected from paper manufacturing and converting plants and post-consumer sources. Examples of its use include shoeboxes, composite cans and fiber drums.
Coated Recycled Paperboard starts out the same as its uncoated version, but is typically coated with a thin layer of kaolin clay over a top ply of white recovered fiber to improve its printing surface for soap and laundry detergent packaging, paper goods packaging, cake mix and cereal boxes and other dry food packaging.
