The alkalinity or acidity of any solution is denoted by the Ph value of that solution. PH value is the antilogarithm value of Hydrogen ions in the solution. PH value lies between 1 - 14, 1 to 6..9 denotes acidic medium & 7.1 to 14 denotes alkaline medium & 7 denotes neutral. For different chemical tests in textile laboratories PH value is very essential.
