Sigma Mixer consists of two counter-rotating blades in two semi-cylinders, the intersection of which forms a saddle piece and meeting tangentially just above the saddle the blades are driven by gearing at both ends. The extrusion-discharge screw is situated at the center of the bottom part of the saddle under two sigma blades. During the mixing the screw pushes the material towards the sigma blades ensuring uniform mixing. At discharge time, the direction of rotation of the screw is reversed.

For small machines Tilting is mechanical type (hand-lever or hand-wheel). For bigger machines Tilting is electromechanical or hydraulic.
