Pcd's are available in 2 types, self supported and tungsten ring supported with different grain sizes (1, 3, 5, 10, 25 and 50 micron).the pcd blanks are purchased from well known manufacturers mainly diamond innovations (formerly ge), sumitomo and sifang.
The type of pcd blank is selected depending on the material drawn or as per the customer order. The pcd's are mounted into the steel casing, precisely drilled, accurately sized and polished to obtain good wire surface and long di life.
