PE Concrete Liner Sheets

SanGrip T Rib Profile Sheets are flexible sheet liner with locking extensions in reinforced concrete pipe and auxiliary structures that effectively protect the exposed concrete surfaces from getting corrode for a longer time that can be measured in decades. T Rib Profile Sheets are designed to allow concrete to flow around them during casting, permanently locking the liner into place as an integral part of the concrete substrate. T Rib Profile Sheets have excellent resistant against abrasion, chemical.

PE  Liners can also be jointed and sent in Rolls or Tube form as per customer requirements.
Features :

• Excellent resistance to corrosive chemicals, gases such as hydrogen sulphide, acids, alkalis, and highly offensive salts.
• Permanent bonding to concrete substrates prevents de-lamination due to high groundwater backpressure
• Unaffected by continuous exposure to high humidity and water
• Joints are heat welded to form a continuous lining over the entire structure.
• If damaged, it can be repaired quickly and easily by removing the damaged area and welding another piece in its place.
• Flexible liner is able to bridge cracks in the structure without peeling of the T-Lining material
• Strong sanitary bacteria and ever-growing fungus do not affect the T-Lining.
• Highly effective resistance to gas penetration

Typical Properties :

Thermoplastic :  SanGrip T-RIB remains flexible within a wide temperature and between 75 degrees C and 40 degrees C. T-RIB also remains stable throughout a wide band of temperature range, making its user friendly and easy to work with.

Weldability : Can be welded at any time over its lifespan using a variety of Welding methods :

• Hot air Fusion – Speed weld
• Hot wedge type
• Extrusion type

As a Tank Lining : ideal for a wide range of chemicals and can withstand continuous immersion up to 71 degrees C, but upper temperature limits depending on type and concentration of chemical.
Dielectric Strength : SanGrip T-RIB is a non-conductor of electricity and resists electrolysis. The dielectric strength of the basic resins [using ASTM D149 test method, short time test] is 400-850 volts per Mil (25 Microns) of thickness.
Water Absorption Rate : (% change maximum in original weight) to ASTM D 570. Results are 0.1% over first 24 hours then the rate drops rapidly. Total absorbed amount is not increased over prolonged period.
Water Vapour Transmission Rate : Using ASTM E96 test method, [38 degrees C and 100% relative humidity] the transmission rate is about 0.020 (per 100 square inches per day) for 1.5mm thickness sheet.
Co-efficient of Linear/Thermal expansion : ASTM D696 Test method gives a rate of 1.2 x 10-4 per degree C rise in temperature. SanGrip T Rib Liner Sheets do not exhibit significant contraction / expansion differentials to concrete. Hardness – Shore Durometer 'D' is 55 at 25 degrees C. (ASTM D 2240 test method).
Tensile test of T-RIB lining/Weld Strength (ASTM D638 Test Method) :

• Mainline Sheet : Average around 3600 psi (25 N/MM²) Field Weld All type

Shear Test : Parent material fails before weld.
Elongation of T-RIB Sheet : From 600% for HDPE to 900% for LLDPE and special resin HDPEs
Abrasion Resistance : ASTM D1044 test method. Wheel CS17 with loading of 1 kilogram. Weight loss is around 18mg per 1000 cycles.
Coefficient of Friction :

• To ASTM test method D1894; static value 0.74
• Kinetic Value : 0.55

Specific Gravity  (ASTM D792) :

• *Specific Gravity for LLDPE is 0.92
• *Specific Gravity for HDPE is 0.93+

Tear Resistance (ASTM D1004 Die C) : Test Method - Thickness 1.82 mm /Average 300N.
Low Temperature Brittleness (ASTM D746 ) :

• Test Method : -94 degrees F.

Modulus of Elasticity (Secant Modulus) :
Expressed in Pounds per square inch.

• 15,000 psi for LLDPE
• 25,000 psi for HDPE

Chemical Resistance :
After conditioning to constant weight at 43^oC (110^o F) tensile specimens and weight change specimens shall be exposed to the following solutions for a period of 112 days at 25^o ±3^oC(77^o ± 5^o F)
At 28-day intervals, tensile specimens and weight change specimens shall be removed from each of the chemical solutions and tested. If any specimen fails to meet the 112-day exposure, the material will be subject to rejection.
