Penta Prism

the penta prism has two important characters. First when the imaging deflect for 90°, it will not reverse and upend. Second the penta prism is a constant deviation prism. That is to say no matter what the angle between the ray and optical axis, all the ray which pass the efficiency aperture deflect as 90°. So the deflexion is independent of the orientation of the prism. This make the penta prism has very important application when can not exact control the orientation of the prism. The penta prism usual apply in the optics tool, colimator, ambulator, photographic finder and so on.
