A Perforator is an extraction apparatus to perform an intensive liquid-liquid extraction. In this process the solvent is
vaporised, condensed in a return condenser in order to drip continuously onto the extraction material, that is solved
in a liquid; immiscible with the solvent.
This extraction procedure is named Perforator-Method, which is applied to determine a formaldehyde content in
unpainted wood based panels. Formaldehyde is extracted from the assay with boiling toluol and given into solution.
with distilled and demineralised water. The formaldehyde content of the aqueous solution can be analyzed
photometrically by the Acatylacetone-Method.
