Perlomid 2mg Tablets

Perlomid is anti-diarrheal medicine which contains Loperamide. It is used to relieve the symptoms of diarrhea that start suddenly and lasts for a few days. It works by slowing down the contraction of the intestines thereby decreasing the speed at which the contents pass through it. This allows more time for reabsorption of fluids and nutrients, making the stools more solid and less frequent. It is also used to treat long-term diarrhea associated with other diseases. This reduces bowel movements and makes the stool less watery. It is used to treat gastroenteritis, short bowel disease and inflammatory bowel disease. This medicine also helps those with blood in the stool who have an ileostomy. 

Usage:  Perlomid is an anti-diarrheal medicine. This includes control of acute nonspecific diarrhea, mild traveler's diarrhea, irritable bowel syndrome, chronic diarrhea due to bowel resection and chronic diarrhea secondary to inflammatory bowel disease. The dosage is based upon patient’s condition and response to treatment. Patient’s age and weight is to be considering if patient is child. This is prescribed medicine by doctor so follow the instructions & directions given accordingly.
