Phase Shifting Transformer

Phase-shifting transformers are used to control the active power flow in the power grid by regulating phase angle. These transformers are used in networks where intensive power-wheeling takes place due to deregulation. Phase-shifting transformers are available with non-symmetrical direct or indirect regulation and symmetrical direct or indirect regulation.
