Description: A phased array ultrasonic unit's initial setup and calibration employ a phased array "Type A" calibration block. This block may be used to carry out operations including beam angle verification, wedge delay calibration, sensitivity calibration, carrying out DAC/TCG,and more. Similar in size to an IIW-Type Block, this block was specifically designed for phased array applications.
Geometry: 19 through holes measuring 0.040" in diameter, 1through hole measuring 0.080", and 4 FBHs measuring 0.080" diameter by 0.080", 0.160", 0.235", and 0.315" depth. The radii are 4.000" and 2.000". 4 FBHs measuring 0.157" in diameter by 0.040", 0.120", 0.200," and 0.275" in depth.Machined into the 2.000" radius are 3 FBHs with a 0.080" diameter and 0.120" depth. 4 EDM notches measuring 0.004", 0.008", 0.012", and 0.016" deep, 0.020", and 1.00".
