Applications

Dibutyl phthalate, phthalic acid ester two are important plasticizer. Phthalic anhydride and Polyols (such as glycerol and pentaerythritol) are condensed to form polyaryl ester resin for the paint industry. If it is condensed with ethylene glycol and unsaturated acid, unsaturated polyester resin can be produced, and two kinds of insulating varnish and glass fiber reinforced plastics can be made. Phthalic anhydride is also a raw material for the synthesis of benzoic acid and terephthalic acid, and is also used for drug synthesis.
