Pinch bottom bags are either gusset or tube style, multi-wall paper bags that have a flap on the open end. A stable bottom is created when filling the bag. Pinch bottom bags are often selected for an attractive product display at the point of sale. Cold glue is applied to the bottom of the bag when a higher resistance to heavy weights and rough transportation conditions is needed. Hot melt is used to glue the bottom of the bag to enclose sift-proof type products by applying the hot melt adhesive in a multi-bead pattern.
