Pipe Cleaning

KMT Aqua-Dyne has created the perfect waterjet cleaning tools for pipe industries---the waterblasting Dump Gun fitted with a Rotary Lance Nozzle.
The Rotary Lance’s straight ahead jetting power enables it to work on straight or “U” tubes with volumes from 8 to 24 GPM per lance at pressures up to 20,000 PSI. When used with all forward facing jets in the nozzle, the Lance is capable of cleaning around the bend in a “U” tube. A variety of nozzles can be used on the Rotary Lance to apply water jets to the fouled area of the tube. The nozzles are quick change type.
Rotary Waterjet nozzles are available for removal of streaking residues following cleaning by straight ahead jets. Wire brushes can be attached to the end of the lance to polish or scrape the tube interior.
A hydraulic motor and gearbox provide the force to produce a lance travel speed of up to 2 ftsec. Plastic support guides travel on the frame to support lances against sagging or buckling. Standard lances of from 14 to 1 inch diameter can be used.
The Rotary Lance has revolutionized cleaning of the tube side of shell and tube heat exchangers. Chemical and refining plants find the Rotary Lance Tool is the best tool for cleaning blocked heat exchanger tubing due to its ability to erode, shatter or extrude the fouling materials in multiple tubes faster and safer than conventional water blasting methods. The Rotary Lance takes energy from a high pressure hydraulic pump to move the lance in and out of heat ex-changer tubes automatically.
Following stabilization of the machine by attaching it to the heat exchanger flange with tension rods, a single operator activates a dump valve to pressure up and activate the multiple lances movement in and out of the tubes. Movement of the lance from tube to tube is accurately and rapidly made possible by the manual indexing of a two axis lance positioning frame.
