• The selection of Piston Seals is to a greater extent based on the type of cylinder in operation. For a single acting cylinder, it is always better to choose the seal design which provides optimum sealing surface wherein thinnest possible lubricant that can pass through between the gaps of seals & cylinder tube surface
• For a double acting cylinder, it is always better to choose double acting piston seal instead of using two single acting cylinder piston seal as considering high pressure built up in the cylinder; there is always a possibility of breakdown of either of single acting seal
