Platinum Ore, Grade : Technical for Industrial

Best quality ore specimen of sulfidic pegmatitic peridotite from the Johns-Manville Reef (J-M Reef) of the Stillwater Complex in Montana. The sulfides (primarily chalcopyrite, pentlandite and pyrrhotite) host platinum group metals (PGMs). The pentlandite contains a high concentration of palladium (substituting for nickel in the crystal structure). The host rock is a pegmatitic peridotite (with oikicrystic pyroxene and plagioclase). This is a sizable example of this ore that is rarely seen on the market. A specimen label is included.
