1) Purpose
Dunnage bags are used to brace and cushion cargo loads inside containers to prevent damage during transportation.
2) Construction
Consists of an inflatable PE bag fitted with a reusable valve and housed inside a woven poly bag which provides the strength .
3)Application
Normally installed and inflated between cargo loads to push and hold the cargo loads firmly against the container walls.This will prevent the cargo loads from shifting during transportation thus eliminate any risk of damage due to knocking.
4) Specifications
Come in various sizes and working pressures to suit the cargo loads and loading configuration inside the container.Popular widths are 60cm, 90cm and 120cm while the popular lengths are 120cm, 180cm and 220cm. The most popular working pressure is 20kPa(L1) which takes up 90% of the demand. The L2(40kPa) and L3(60kPa) dunnage bags are for heavy duty applications like protecting crago loads inside rail cars.
