Ultra Size is a ready to size product which requires no other additives.

Sizing is simple with Ultra Size as no other additives are required. A high degree of modification of starch, provides adequate cohesion and good penetration, which results in extremely high adhesion at slashing frame and looms. Flexible and strong film provided by Ultra Size results in high abrasion resistance of the yarn and ensuring less and breaks. Ultra Size gives good paste stability, which ultimately provides uniform sizing.

Viscosity & Consistency
Ultra Size has a very low viscosity, which helps in better penetration, especially for higher thread counts / finer varieties. Normally a 15% paste has a viscosity of 8 to 9 seconds in 50 ml ATIRA cup at 90⁰C. This low viscosity is very much suitable for all types of yarns, including dyed yarns.

Ultra Size is highly consistent, which in turns helps in uniform size pick-up. A 15% paste remains consistent during overnight storage and there is no gel formation or thinning of paste.

Binding & Film Formation

Ultra Size has an excellent adhesion property. The high tackiness in Ultra Size helps in better binding and improvement in weaving efficiency in high speed shuttle less looms. A substantial reduction of other synthetic binders like PVA, Acrylics etc., is possible and this contributes in reduction of sizing materials cost.

Ultra Size has an excellent film forming property. The film formed by Ultra Size is strong, thin, transparent and does not crack easily. This in turn helps in better pliablility and reduction of loss in elongation.

Preparation of Sizing paste
With continuos and preferably vigorous stirring, the required quantity of Ultra Size is sprinkled to cold water in the cooker/ pre-mixer. The suspension is cooked at 130⁰C /30psi and retained for 10 mts, before transferring to the storage tank.
