Polyester Powder Coating Tape

Polyster tape is a dark green or blue polyester tape with silicone adhesive. It can be used in a large variety of high temperature applications including powder coat masking, flash breaker, and bag sealing applications. Additional applications include splicing, tabbing, or roll closing silicone treated liners or materials. The Specification is the same as Polyimide Tape only the backing material is polyster and not polymied.

Temperature resistance is 300℃. it is best suited for powder coating application because even at 300℃ it is resistant to various acids and chemicals in the powder coating application. The Silicone adhesive removes cleanly from many surfaces and leaves no adhesive or residue behind. It is also highly suitable for flash breaker in the aerospace industry and can be used as a high temperature photo splicing tape.

This tape comes in 2 total thicknesses - 1 mil & 2 mil.

• White glass cloth powder coating tape: Thicker material, conformable, great for very thick powder coating applications, temps to 500F
• Polyimide powder coating tape: Thin material, best for thin powder coating applications, temps to 500F
• Blue polyester powder coating tape: Thin, 1 mil carrier material, can be used around complex curved surfaces to be powder coated, temps to 400F
• Orange polyester powder coating tape: Similar to green polyester, but handles a bit extra heat, up to 425F for longer cure temps or higher cure powder coating formulations
• Yellow polyester powder coating tape: Having a tough time getting other tapes to stick to the metal? Try this tape; very aggressive (sticky) adhesive, and handles 400F
