POLY URETHANE FOAM (PU/ PUR/ PUF): It is produced from the reaction of Polyols and Isocyanates. Lower density cushion like is used for bedding/ mattresses, seating, furniture etc. Higher density Foam is used as core material of sandwich panels. Good thermal insulation (Low thermal conductivity) and good strength to ration makes them ideal core for sandwich panels. But it has been classified under B Class. B3 core sandwich panels are widely used though they are not recommended in many regions.
