Poptan DCN7 Powder, Color : White for Leather Industry

An anionic synthetic resin syntan for the retannage of all types of chrome leathers.

Properties

• Poptan DCN7 is a spray dried resin syntan based on dicyndiamide, recommended for full, tight and mellow leathers. Due to its stable polymeric size the leathers maintains its mellowness on ageing and does not become firm or brittle.
• Poptan DCN7 has selective filling action mainly in loose structured parts of the leather as balley and flanks, yeilds better cutting value .
• Poptan DCN7 imparts good level deying properties and will not be any drawn grain effect because of its non-astringent nature.
• Poptan DCN7 increases tensile strength of leathers and give plumpiness to the leather. The particulars resinous nature of POPTAN DCN7 gives desirable buffing surface for C.G. leathers.
• After addition of POPTAN DCN7 in subsequent operations its advisable to adjust the pH 3.0-3.5 for tighter leather and 3.5-4.0 for softer leathers.

Applications

• For the mild, filling retannage of all types of chrome leather, where fullness and suppleness are desired, 2-5% is recommended.
• For the production of Softy full grain, corrected grain upper leather and nubuck, 2-6% is recommended.

Storage
Presents no problem under normal storage conditions and has an indefinite shelf life. Some caking may occur if the product is stored in warm, damp conditions, but this does not affect the efficiency of the product.
