 POTASSIUM HYDROXIDE (KOH), also known as caustic potash, is a white, flaky, odorless solid that is highly alkaline and corrosive. It has many industrial and laboratory uses, including:Â
·        Manufacturing: Used to make soaps, detergents, biodiesel, rayon, paper, dyestuffs, and petroleum productsÂ
·        Electroplating: Used as an electrolyte in alkaline batteries and in electroplatingÂ
·        Laboratory: Used as a common reagent for titrations and pH adjustmentsÂ
·        Water treatment: Used to adjust pH and neutralize wastewater to remove acidity and heavy metalsÂ
·        Drain and oven cleaners: A common ingredient in commercial drain and oven cleanersÂ

·        Safety
