Polysaccharide Iron complex (PIC) is a blackish brown powder. PIC can be offered as capsules and tablets for the patients suffering from Iron deficiency anemia. PIC now can be offered in the form of pellets & premixes for ready to fill capsule form. PIC is used in the formulation of pharmaceutical and nutraceutical supplements in major markets like USA, Canada & Europe.

Features:

• Polysaccharide Iron complex has a low molecular weight hence greater bio absorption with lower side effects.
• PIC do not dissociate in stomach , it is soluble at intestinal pH from where the actual absorption of Iron takes place hence at a higher dosage also there is no gastric irritation.
• The highest concentration of bioavailable iron of 150mg can be delivered by PIC.
• Low toxicity compared to other Iron salts, only Iron which has very high LD50 >5000mg/kg
• PIC resembles the intracellular storage protein ferritin hence highly bioavailable.
