Our products conform to IEEMA ( Indian Electrical Equipment Manufacturers’ Association) standards and BS EN 50216-6:2002 ( ~ DIN 42559). Ref BS 50216-6, our products include: FA / FG / FTR / FTTO / FTT / FR also FA & FG type with Swan Neck & Direct Weldable type Besides standard products, we also design and manufacture customized Pressed Steel Radiators, Tanks & Panels to meet clientsʹ special requirements. We use: 1) CRCA steel strips D.D ( IS 513) grade, 1.0 mm to 1 .25 mm thick, for radiator fins ( Thickness as per customer requirement), 2) CRCA steel strips D.D grade 2.0 mms thick for header pipes in 50 mm, 75 mm, 90 mm diameters ( as per customer requirement). Accessories such as square / round flanges,, air vent, drain plug, lifting hooks, bracing straps are standard but can be supplied as per customer specific requirements. Internal Surface Preparation The internal surfaces are cleaned to avoid transformer oil contamination. This is done according to ISO 44066 and ‘flush’ coated with varnish. External Surface Preparation: Our standard products are de‐greased by phosphating prior to painting. Two coats of zinc chromate red oxide primer are then applied and finish painting is done by enamel / epoxy paint or as per customer specification. However, if customers require we also can blast the surface with sand, copper slag or grit to SA 2.5 & 40 m ruggedness and zinc spray the surface, before applying finish paint. We have our in house blasting plant as well as zinc spraying and spray painting equipment & facilities. Tests & Inspections: Each radiator undergoes: 1 Visual inspection of welding 2 Dimension and tolerances check 3 Internal surface clean up wash to eliminate foreign bodies / weld spatter 4 Each radiator (100% product) is immersion tested in water tank at an air pressure of 200 kPa to ensure 100% leak proofing. Randomly selected radiators, 1 in 20 unless specified, undergoes: 1 Hot oil test. The radiator is filled with transformer oil at a temperature of 600C and kept at a pressure of 200 kPa for 3 Hours 2 External surfaces of the radiators are checked for deformations 3 Paint thickness gauging is done. 4 Paint peel tests done. Preparation for Transportation and Storage Before packing, final check is done to ensure cleanness, foreign bodies and other contamination. Flanges are covered to prevent the ingress of contamination during transportation or storage. Depending on type of radiator, special measures are taken to avoid mechanical damages during transportation.
