An ordinary commerce graduate need not dream big—especially when he holds
a plush job with giant Ernst and Young. But when a powerful idea envelops your
mind, no dream seems too small. And obstacles such as lack of technical grasp
seem merely by the way.
The idea was simple: to take humble jute out of the everyday gunny sack, and
place it where it belonged—into the refined sensibilities of consumers. The year
was 2005, and the dreamer, Saurav Modi.
Just Jute Products (JJP) has since come a long way. We have grown into a
leading manufacturer of accessories using materials as diverse as jute, canvas,
denim, art leather and corduroy.Today, our products inhabit a 15,000 sq. feet
space and are pushing USD 1 Million in sales. From a measly
5000 bags in the first year, our installed annual capacity has grown to 1 Lac bags,
20000 wallets, and 500000 belts.

Just Jute Products believes in “thought-to-finish”. The customer comes in with a thought and leaves
with a finished product. To ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timeliness, we do all work in-house.
The customer's first stop is our design coordinator. The design coordinator helps articulate the
customer's vision. Working with our pattern makers and sampling division, the design coordinator
produces a prototype for the customer.
Once the customer has approved the prototype, production commences. Production involves various
stages like cuttings the fabric into various parts of the product, value additions like printing, embroidery,
etc., and then stitching. The finest raw materials shape the end product: we employ only internationally
reputable PFAFF machinery.
One the product comes out of the machines completely stitched, it goes rigorous strict quality checks.
Only after the product has passed all quality checks, it is packed and delivered as per the customer's
needs.
Process
As per our motto, “Carve what you crave”, Just Jute Products places considerable emphasis on
customizing products to our clients' needs. A client likes a particular design but wants a different
material? No problem; our sampling team creates a suitable prototype. Another client requires special
features such as double compartments and short handles along with a detachable long handle, branding
to be half printing and half embroidery, and of course all these within a strict budget? We cherish such
challenges; customization is what differentiates the product, and nothing less will fulfill the client.
Just Jute Products created different jute products in its first year. With success came customer
appreciation and the realization that our customers had always had refined sensibilities; there just
were no products that matched those sensibilities.
We were up to the task. We challenged stereotypes of suitability and choice of material, introducing
for instance executive bags in jute and laptop bags in combinations of denim with art leather.
We created products out of jute, canvas, polyurethane (PU), tetron, art leather, denim and corduroy.
Today we create highly differentiated products in an array of product categories including bags,
belts, wallets and corporate gifts.
