PSIC (Pre-Shipment Inspection Service) DGFT

Director general of foreign trade, india (dgft) requires the incoming containers into india being inspected at the time of loading by a dgft approved agency for presence of arms and ammunition, mines, shells, cartridges or any other explosive in any form along with radiation (gamma & neutron) level and subsequently should carry a pre shipment inspection certificate upon arriving. A pre shipment inspection certificate or psic as we call it is mandatory for the cargo to be custom cleared in india.
