PTFE Seal

PTFE rotary seal is a ideal shaft seal material to connect conventional elastomer lip seals and mechanical face seals. The seals is designed to be retained in the housing to minimize the possibility of the seal rotating with the shaft. This ia accomplished with a press fit metal can, metal retaining ring or backing plate.
The sliding surface of O ring and an energising O-ring.It is produced with an interference fit which together with the squeeze of the O-ring is furnished with one or two grooves. The grooves ensure good lubrication and reduce friction. The rear face of O ring has a concave shape. This ensure a good contact to the O ring and prevents the seal from turning with the shaft. The seal design ensures an efficient leakage control over the entire pressure range from 0 to 30 MPa.
