Star Sapphire PTFE Thread Seal Tape, Color : White

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Star Sapphire PTFE Threaded Seal Tape is medium density, premium quality, available in white & yellow colour for Water & Gas respectively. It is manufactured from 100% pure virgin PTFE and containing less than 0.1% of residual lubricant. It is self-lubricating, non-hardening, non-toxic, non-flammable tape.

APPLICATION:

It is suitable for use on pipelines of any material up to 50mm nominal bore with taper/taper or taper/parallel threaded connections. It can be successfully used with the commoner flow products such as hot and cold water (including potable water), compressed air. It is resistant to all acids, alkalis, solvents and chemicals over wide operating temperature. Fills irregular voids between threads. Easy to assemble and disassemble. Its offers positive pressure seal.
