After being included in tangible, PVC water stops fill up the joint parts to form a ongoing water tight diaphragm that stops the passage of fluid. The water quit must be designed and installed properly to provide joint expansions, shrinkage and horizontal & transversus movements. In addition to these consideration the water quit must be compatible with the tangible system and the fluids and chemicals to be contained or controlled.
